Default bumper hits the road....

Hey guys,
I don't know if my suspensions are bad.. But each time when I pass over a train rail or when I go out from a parking...theres the sidewalk that is higher then the road...and each time I say EACH time...my bumper hits very hard with the road...!!
My bumper is not cracked + under the bumper...there a black plastik...well It always comes off..And I have to tape it!

Anyone knows what could be the problem^??

thanks

Any aftermarket suspension parts? How fast are you going over the railroad tracks? As for the curbs, don't pull up so close to them. Stay back a bit.

IDK, hard for me or anyone to say for sure. Are the tracks on top of like a little hill? I'd have to guess so, and the only thing I can think of is you'd just need to go slower. The Neon's are actually a bit lower in the front, so that doesn't help the cause to begin with. Then going to quick (for the car itself) over it just won't be good.

When you go over like a dip in the road, does you car bounce up and down a bit afterwards? If it bounces up and down a few times, your shock absorbers are shot so it is just bouncing on the springs. Really though, you are only describing a problem with those particular railroad tracks though, so by process of elimination with the info at hand, you'll just need to slow down for them. Again, for curbs, don't drive over them.
