Nope. I just put bulbs in. I did absolutely nothing to the face of the guages.

awesome thanks a lot man... that what i thought it looked like, i just replaced a bulb in my girlfriends sisters carolla a few weeks ago. one question though, in her corolla there were two screws right about the cluster once you took those out you had easy access to the cluster to remove it.... i noticed the little panel above the cluster in my car, but no screws... you just pry on that and it comes out, or you have to take out the dash?
I would die to have my lights blue like that! I was thinking about getting a new volkswagen jetta just because of the blue backlights everywhere, but for 10-20$? I would do this in a heartbeat if I knew how to.
You have to pull the dash to get it out. Its not that hard. You also have to pull both A-pillars as well so you can get the dash out. It takes me all of about 20 minutes to take it all apart....but I've done it a few times.
2004sxt - its not very hard to do. It looks harder then it really is to do.

After you pull the dash, are the leds drop-in replacements for the bulbs? I don't have a tach (gas and h2o temp are where your tach is), so I guess mine will be fewer, but still, it's a ball park. Also, looking at the back picture, it doesn't line up to my eyes for what the front looks like. What are the gray things and the red things?
The lights with red arrows pointing at them are the backlights that light the cluster up. The two with blue arrows pointing at them are the turn signals. The one right in the middle of the turn signals is the bright light indicator. All the other smaller ones are various lights for different indicators, such as brake, seat belt, oil light, check engine light, etc.
