Default brakes

anyone know if pt cruisers have 4 disc brakes, and if so... would they fit on a neon?

You can do it, you would be better off just leaving it. It is gonna be an expensive and technical job.

thats what i figured... i was thinking if pt criuser had 4 disc brakes i could get the stuff i need from a junk yard. if it would even fit...

I believe the R/t and ACR had rear discs, if you want to go that route. But you will need the master cylider, lines and the whole rear set-up to do it.

Yeah, the R/Ts have them. As do the ACRs too I believe. Like Casper said you'll need everything to do it. Its not really worth the job, unless you want them for looks. I know drum brakes are noisy, at least mine are, but the rear brakes don't do that much of the braking. Most the power is two the front two wheels. So essentially the rear discs would be more for looks, sure your braking might be slightly better, but its probably not worth the time and money.

yeah, i didnt know you had to replace the master cylinder and lines... it would have been mainly for looks, i like that a lot better... but i think ill atleast wait a while on that one
