This car is really ticking me off, please help me!
I own a 2002 Dodge Neon 2.0. Dare I say more, LOL.
6 Months ago my engine locked up. We purchased a partially rebuilt engine for the car 2 weeks ago and installed it. I drove the car for 2 days and other than a slight miss, it purred like a kitten and the engine operated smoothly aside from the miss, which I assumed was fixable by a tune up and fuel additive just in case sedament pushed through the fuel lines and possibily clog 1 or more injectors. I filled my tank with 93 octane gas, used STP fuel additive and drove it home. The next day the car wouldn't start very easy and when running it ran VERY poorly, sputtering, dying, and idling so rough it shook the whole car. After letting it run bout 20 mins it came out of it and started to run fine again except that slight miss. I took it to Autozone to have a computer test ran becuz my check engine light came on that morning after I let it run the 20 mins. The test said "Ignition System malfunction/misfire". We Changed the Coil, plugs and wires. When we tried to start it, no spark! I had it towed to a shop, he ran a better test and told me to replace my Crank and Cam Shaft sensors. I did and it started, but now its running rougher, has lost all engine power, my car will not go above 5mph uphill and now number 1 and 4 cylinders are getting NO SPARK! WTF? The computer is free of codes, we have light tested every wire, checked them for breaks/wear n tear, all grounds, relays and sensors/modules have tested fine. My EX Husband pulled each plug wire (brand new) while the car was started and when he pulls number 1 or 4 off the car doesn't react, when he pulled 2 and 3 off the car died. BUT, if he pulls #1 off BEFORE I start the car it won't start!??? The car will fire right up and run, but it has a rough idle and no power at all. Everyone we have asked has said something different, from MAP sensor to timing, even had 2 ppl say ECM (computer) which I CANNOT afford! I have 2 young children and no car to drive. We are going to try testing the compression in all cylinders and if they test out, I will probably be towing it to the shop.
I just can't afford this, I have already spent 1,100 dollars on engine, parts, testing, and I am losing my money and my mind! ANY ADVICE WELCOME!

Due to the cylinders 1 & 4 and cylinders 2 & 3 combination of problems. I am leaning towards an ignition coil problem, the coil is made up of two coils one for cylinders 1 & 4 the other for cylinders 2 & 3. A bad coil could cause this issue. The coil is fed by 3 wires +12v from the ignition switch and 2 wires from the computer one for cylinders 1&4 and the other for cylinders 2&3.
Make sure the 3 pin plug is clean and properly inserted into the coil, you could try swapping another coil just because it’s new doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good.
