Default Help with tire finding issue

I have an '01 Dodge Neon ES 2.0L. I have had it for sometime (3 years) and really like the car. But whenever a need new tires or heaven forbid a flat tire beyond repair, I need to hunt for the tires. Right now I have 4 Dunlop 16" tires (195 50 16). But they are so hard to find and expensive. I talked a former co-worker awhile ago and he suggest that I go with a bigger rim, thus a bigger tire. Now what rim/tire would be good for my car? What is the max size of tire I could put on my car? Link, help, tips, etc all welcome.

Thanks,

Aaron

Well, yes. But mostly I want to know:

1) What is the max size that I can put on my neon?
2) Where can I buy rims and tires from?
3) Any package deals?

Thanks,
Aaron

The biggest I would go is 17's, you can fit 18's but, you have to be real careful goin over bumps. Try tires.com

Thanks Casper. So...now I am consider which number series to get.

I am looking at the Dunlop SP Sport FM901. Rated at W Speed.

215/40ZR-17 83W B
