Hey guys i got my c/f hood today. I wanted to know if i can drill threw it so i can install the hood pins. My friend is tellin me it will probley crack. It does have a latch for the front but i dont know how strong it is. thanks.

 

glad to hear it and I would say if its got the latch I say it can handle it just be careful Im lookin to get either a cf cuda or a black cuda howell only has the plain one they might be one of sponsors for both of my neons.cant wait to see your neon when your done with it.

looks even sweeter you got it from howell right thats who might be sponsoring me for the hood and a intake and maybe a whole kit for my 96. going to look real good with your kit.

i don't think thats safe to be driving with out hood pins. my brothers friend has a cf hood and he didn't put pins and he was driving one day and the latch broke and the hood flew up... broke the windshield, the hood broke in half, and it dented the roof. i would put them if u can.

 

i would think if the hood is quality it should be safe to drill for hood pins....

 

you should be able to drill through it if you take your time and do it with a high speed drill going very slow........also try drilling a pilot hole first.

 

Maybe ask the folks that made the thing what they suggest......?
