i have a 2001 R/T and have an electrical problem with the front fog lights.

first of all they came on without the switch being turned on and i could not turn them off, then after a few minutes they went off and they now will not turn on even when i turn the switch on, i have tested the bulbs and fuses and theyre fine so i guess the problem is with the switch?!

i wanted to bypass the normal switch and put in a standalone switch for the front foglights.

i have a hayned manual which says that the wires i need to connect are a Violet/White and a Pink/LightGreen but when i took off the covers for the steering column none of the drawings make sense, the drawing say there are 2x violet/white cables but i can only find one and there are other colurs which dont seem to exist?!

can anyone help me out as to which colours i really am looking for and perhaps which one of the several electrical connectors it is located on?
