is there any retaining clips on the tranny side of the shafts i have not tried to pull them out yet just trying to be prepared for tomorrow when i do a clutch btw its a 5speed

 

There is a spring ring in a groove on the inner end of the drive shaft. Use a pry bar to gently pry the shaft straight out of the transaxle. When reassembling a sharp push is required to make sure the spring ring is all the way in and locked.
