quick question
my buddy told me he has a 2001 neon with a blown motor and I realized my uncle has a 1989 plymouth acclaim with a rebuilt 2.5L turbo motor but the body is crap. So i was wandering if anyone can answer my question of can that engine be put into the 2001 shell? if possible then i think i have my new car but looking for a some knowledgeable opinions on this one as to whether its worth it or not and how difficult it is
thanks

probably some guys with more expertise will speak up, but I would say it might work, but with ALOT of work.
Going back 10+ years, it's gonna have a completely different computer control, if any at all. Might as well pick any 4 cyl. from any car... bout the same amount of modifications would need to be done.
The turbo motor that would swap in (even that would be alot of work) would be the 2.4L SRT-4 motor. Probably the best motors to pick from would be a non-turbo Chrysler 4 cyl. from 2000 to 2005, if yer looking for a more direct drop-in swap
