Exclamation RPMs...

I have a problem, when I'm driving my car and stop for a red light or just stop, the RPM is at 1000 but slowly starts to go down to 500 and my car starts shaking, I have to accelerate in order to take it back it 1000 and let the gas pedal go and it will stay at 1000, or when I have the air on, it doesn;t do it.

any one can help please???
