Sooo its probably been off for awhile. Whats the worst I can expect? What really happens if you haven't had a filter on your cai for a couple months?

as long as your not constantly driving in dusty areas, and such, you should be okay.

If the motor hasnt grenaded by now, you are probably fine.

In theory though, you could suck up foreign material like rocks or leaves or mice or whatever and it would be harmful to your engine. Just put it back on and tighten it better.

yeah if the car is still running fine your in the clear... although you may have shortened the engines life a bit but nothing you will notice... just throw a new filter on and tighten it up better and check it every once and a while....

You are going to want to change the oil sooner too. Dirt will be contaminating the oil much, much, much more than with a filter. More oil changes or a new filter. What costs more?
