Horrid creaking sound on left turns...
#13
Well I was finally able to get the car in today, and according to the mechanic I narrowly avoided a horrible highway death. The left tie rod end was stripped & loose, and they told me if I'd have waited much longer it would have snapped. I live in the burbs & work in the city, I don't even wanna think of what could have happened had it broken on the highway.
Yikes.
I'll most likely replace them with some heavy-duty ones once I get caught up on my bills. I apparently have horrible luck with tie rods, so the stronger the better :S

Get the Moog ones then. I don't see them coming any more heavy duty than those things. Funny thing though. The tie-rod ends were about $50 each, and took all of about 10 minutes to replace. The ball joints cost me something like $15 each I think (I got a superb deal on these), and they took hours from start to finish.
