Default ignition cylinder change

hey everybody, im new to this site.my name is preston!

i have a 2000 dodge neon and my ignition cylinder went out so i have to change it! from what i see,there is 2 star bolts that are holding it! well these bolts have a round piece of metal in them like a particular star bolt tool slides in the bolt to turn them! anybody have any idea what tool to use?

sounds like you need a security torx bit. looks like a regular bit but is hollow in the center.

ok here is the outcome! tore apart the the ignition,noticed a different problem! turns out its my ignition switch and the part that broke off in there, this piece is in between the ignition cylinder lock and the ignition switch, that is what broke off in the switch, and the screwed up thing is,u cant buy that separate,u have to buy the whole steering columm bc dodge dealer considers it part of the steering columm! junkyards wouldn't even let u pull just that piece! steering columm from a dealership 350:00 to your personal machanic 200.00 used parts and labor!

this piece doesn't even have a name, but its round shape with a white casing over it,no more then 3 inches long! it reminds me of a crankshaft when i look at it!
