Default camshaft questions.

Will I need a tune if i get a cam? can you tune these cars? Would i have to get a meagsquirt?

most cam's it is not needed but for the bigger grinds it is recommended since you wont be able too get in too the cams power band with stock rev limit. So research your cam I had a comp 400 pre MS and my car was faster but you could feel it had lot more in it. I sold it before I did MS cant tell you if it really did have more pwr past 6800rpm.

if you are looking at really big cam like crane #05 or any of those custom grinds your gonna have some idle problems so some sort of fuel control is needed too lean fuel at idle

yeah i was looking at a comp 400 I wish they were cheaper lol 150$ I would total buy one but not at 300 just more than i want to put in....

i found mine on ebay I paid 170 for it but that was almost 3 years ago

oh you gonna need too upgrade your valve springs if your non r/t . beware those suckers can be a pain too change.
I would do a complete r/t head swap. If you can find one

You should change your valve springs whenever you change your cam, non-R/T or not, on any vehicle; as well as the lifters (this is an absolute must anyways).

On the lifters of there roller you can get away with but you should still do so.
