I just put in the AEM cool air intake on my 2003 neon R/T. Now when ever I hit certain RPMs and stay there for a minute, my car makes some RIDICULOUSLY loud vibrating sound. I think that it MAY be my fenderwell lining, but I do not want to take that off for fear of something spinning up and hitting my air filter. DOES ANYONE know what this may be, or what may have cause this? Thanks

If the metal of your CAI is sitting close to your fender, when you rev it, since the engine moves, so will the CAI. If it is revved high, it will pull the CAI closer to the engine itself since the engine pulls to the left when you look at it with the hood up. Start there, and let me know if it doesn't look like it.

 

sometimes the tubing from the intake manifold to throttle body rubs up agains the engine and makes that sound too.
