Smile 2.0L to a 2.0L HO

could someone tell me whats into changing my 2.0L in my 02 Neon SXT to a 2.0 HO. Could i do this with using junk yards and fairly cheap? Just wondering about it if it would make it a bit more fun to drive.

The price of everything required to get 18 more HP, probably not worth it IMO. The HO is rated at 150HP vs. the regular 2.0 at 132. Anyways, to switch it, you'd have to get the complete engine, obviously, along with all sensors. You might need a new engine wiring harness, if it is actually separate from the complete harness and the HO computer. Trying to recall junk yard pricing, a complete engine is about $350, maybe up to $500 alone. I don't think that price includes sensors and so on either. An entire harness is about $100. No idea what a computer is or any other parts you may need. I guess it's just up to you if you think that say, ~$1,000 or more is worth 18 more horsepower.
