-Check your spark plugs. I just changed mine today. I was starting to experience the same things you are. When I pulled the plugs, at first they looked like they were burning clean. But then I noticed the gaps. Three of the plugs had gaps that were worn between .050" and .060". Not too good considering they are supposed to be .035". I also picked up a new set of plug wires since the car has 70k on it now. I just got a set of Autolite Professional Series wires at Advance Auto for $29 and change including tax. You should be able to get by spending about $40 on plugs and wires combined.

thanks for the post, I did change plugs, but still had the same problem.
I just ran some Duralube injector cleaner through it and it seems to be getting better.

-Glad you found it. I did the injector cleaner first with no change. But I was kind of shocked that the NGK plugs widened that bad. I used to run only NGK and Bosch plugs when I ran dirtbikes and they never let me down. Now both brands have. So back to stock Champions that I hated back in my dirtbike days.
