odd electrical issue, e-brake warning light...
hey everyone!
i am having a strange issue with my car, and i just cant seem to figure out what exactly is happening...
so this is it : everyone knows the "!" light that comes on with your parking brake..
well my light will come on with an alert sound whenever the car expiriences forward inertia (when i pull away from a stop sign..) as soon as you let up on the gas or brake to stop, the light will go off..
i have researched and not come up with anything!
any suggestions?
thanks a lot
patrick.

Are your rotors and pads good? Cuz that actually happened to me a couple months ago.. Every time I accelerated, the light came on. Mine were pretty shot so I bought and installed some new rotors and pads. And lo and behold, the light stopped coming on and runs fine now!
Definitely agree with Darthroush 100% on this one. That warning light is also a general indicator of your braking system. If you have a leak somewhere or worn pads and shoes it will cause the brake fluid to be low and when you stop and start fluid level changes turning on and off the light intermittently.
hey thanks for the info
I read the wiring diagram and the light lead to a brake fluid level sensor, just as you said
so i topped it up, and found the leak. the passenger side rear drum seems to be leaking from both the little hydraulic cylinder inside the rotor, and the flexible line from the chassis to the drum...
has this ever happened to anyone?

Yes what you are referring to is your wheel cylinder. The seal inside my drivers side wheel cylinder sprung a leak and the same situation from my light happened. When you change the cylinder make sure you change both sides to avoid the trouble of having to do the other one further down the road.
