I've seen quite a few neons with a guage right where the boost guage is on the SRT-4. See, I really want to get a tach installed since the SE don't have one. [>:] And I'd rather just put it in the same spot. Instead of having to buy a full pillar since I only need one guage. What parts do I need and where can I buy them from? Where can I buy that part for the dash? Do I have to go to the dodge dealer? Thanks

All the places I've looked at don't have any mounting bracket for the tach (boost gauge), except Dodge itself.

 

i can solve all ur problems, hehehe. i just did that. i have an 02 neon se. no tach so i got me the boost pod from the srt4 for 25$ shippin included on ebay, sum guys sells them aftermarket, they r the same as the srts just not oem. process is a lil complicated, the fact that the boost gauge is small u will have to shave the gayge throw and make it a complete cylinder. once its empty, u either glue it or drill it thru the lip of the gauge, sounds weird but its self explanatory once u see it. i drill it in. heres the trickin part, every other gauge is like 2/3 longer than the boost. so ur goin to have the trace the shape of the gauge and then cut out sum plastic and make a whole throw the dash were the gauge goes so it can go throw because its in an angle, any question ask me or visit my cardomain so u can check it out.

 

ive also seen people sell the whole top piece of the dash with the pod attatched on ebay if you don't want to go through all of that trouble but it is more expensive

 

ever considered putting a junk yard cluster out of a highline (ES, SXT)?

 

ur cars an automatic, it doesnt need a tach thats wanting one for whatever reason is just gay

 

that was a little uncalled for its always good to have a tach so you know where you are

 

I believe the only place to get the guage holder is the dodge dealer like someone else mentioned.
