Thought I share this with others that might want to make this mod. I recently came upon a neon at a salvage yard and noticed that it had chrome handles inside and looked great. It was a 2000 model. I took them off..only the handles. They were held by the plastic being melted and I just carefully pryed them off. I took off mines the same way, which were just plain gray colored. The chrome handles were an exact fit and I used a hot glue gun to mount them back on to mines. It looks great and added a nice touch to the interior! In my opinion, it looks better than the silver srt4 handles! I did this to my neon sxt and thinking of doing it to my srt4...will see what happens. Any questions, let me know.

..and an expresso was a first generation model.... do they have the same interior parts as 2nd generation cars? (obviously an SRT-4 is 2nd gen...)

 

The inside door handles..all four of them. sorry about the confusion.

I see no expresso word whatsoever in what he wrote I see 2000 model which will fit any 2nd gen . I have seen these chrome handles for the inside and outside sometimes on ebay they look nice if your into chrome.

 

I went back and made a correction, from expresso to 2000....Pablodragon is right. I'm not too much into chrome, but this looked better than grey or black handles. Hope to put up some pixs soon of the transformations.

 

My handles I painted a metallic red seeing my whole interior is either red or metallic red with some black . Now I see you edited earlier.
