Default weird problem

i just got a 2000 es and when i start it the dash has a message and it says fuse then it says doors like the door is open but i am thinking its the auto door locks cause it keeps clicks when i am driving please help!!!

Well, my 02 SXT has the doors lock at 5mph. Maybe that's what you're noticing.

As for the "FUSE" display; it's possible you've blown a fuse. Check your fuses behind the little door at the driver's end of the dash. You have to open the driver's door to see them.

Could be a fuse, bad ground or dead/bad battery. Those seem to be the 3 big causes.

i did check the fuses that is idiot proof lol. they looked good and i know looks are decieving but on the ground would i have to chase it to find out or you think if i hooked it up to a dio test it would tell me

Not sure. I forgot to hook one ground up, tried starting the car, it smoked, instantly killed the battery, and displayed fuse until I recharged the battery.

i think i found the problem its in the button for the door chime when you open the door or close it on my part i think its got a short in it cause it will come back on until i start driving then just stops found that out cause when you open the door your mileage display comes on and when you close it it goes off well i closed the door and it went off but a few sec later it came back on how do you fix that

If the 2000's are like the 03+, the button is connected to the door latch. You have to take it apart and check the wiring. Mine came apart due to the crappy factory placement of it.

the problem was the door jam buttons one was bad and the fuse problem was the dome light it acts like a lingable fuse or last resort before you fry wiring funny but true thanks to all for the help
