Default different but need help

this is the problem what is the red dot on the instrument panel and when i lock my car to leave it some where the alarm or panic will go off about 30/40 min later i didnt realise that thought it was the door jam lights but i replaced them but it still went off them i read it was a chip in the key but i dont think it is that what the hell is the problem i need it fixed just put a great sound system in and dont want it stolen plus i never leave the car unlocked out side cause when it is unlocked the alarm never goes off ????????

if i am thinking right the red dot is a security device but why is it blinking alot when i shut the doors At first and then blinks every like five seconds then i walk away and the alarm goes off 30/40 min later

that red dot is your security sensor if i'm correct that ties inot your Key FOB. it could be a wire or something tripping it. I know when you swap out a PCM, the light will flash and you will need to reflash the PCM.

umm how do i reflash a pcm i never had that problem do i hook it up to a dio and change the pcm or have a key reprogramed ?????

Some shops can Reflash too if they have the scantool.

If I'm not mistaken Most car alarms don't sense when the door comes open (because that can be bypassed).. it's a sudden drop in source voltage, like when the dome light comes on. There could be something draining your battery faster than what the PCM is expecting and then trips the alarm in that 30-40 minute time window you mention.
Check your car stereo, possible lights on like the trunk light or underhood light ect.
If i'm wrong I apologize but it's a suggestion.

isakill i never thought of that i know how aftermarket alarms work but didnt think factory would be the same im going to trace every thing and i also found out that all the interior,trunk,hood light work as a secondary fusable link for a last resort before something frys

You can always unhook the battery and hook it back up and see if that does the trick.
