Neon all-in-one chip keyed fob *l@@k*
I made a custom chip key fob for my neon. It cost me a total or $2.36. Its is not a chip key that was programmed to my neon already. I went to the junk yard and pulled a few neon chip keys and a few fobs. I went and got just a plain old metal key made from the hardware store.
I cut the rubber off the junk yard chip key and took out the chip.
I got my new key and used a drill and a small wire cutter to get the desired shape and then filed it down to make it fit inside the fob.
I had to cut and file some of the plastic on the fob to get it to fit perfect and snug.
After i got the key in there and everything where i wanted it i had to get the electrical board back in. so i filed the small end of the board down (where they key is) all the way to the electrical connections.
After i got all that to fit i had to trim a little more of the plastic to put the chip inside the fob. This is the finished product........
I just programed the fob then the key and it works 100% perfect. ITs durable and is solid. its awesome let me know what you think and if you want i can add inside pics
