Had a little fender bender a couple days ago and thought you guys might find the results interesting. I backed into the Merc at about 5 mph. oops! Need to rub out Mrs. deranged's paint a little more but that and a little touch up isn't too bad considering what the big Mercury needs.

The damage on the Merc seems too high when compared with the damage to the Neon? Is this an illusion of photography?

Funny, my parents own a Lincoln town car. Based on the same platform as the Merc/Fords.
My rear bumper doesn't come up that high on their fender.

Not saying I don't believe you. Just seems odd.

 

The angle of approach made momma deranged's Neon actually climb the side of the Merc. The Merc's owner said that she thought I was going to end up on top of the hood. She's my next door neighbor and our garages are side by side sharing the same driveway. We both were backing out at the same time and well.................she's ok and we are still on good terms. $hit happens.
