Sorry- you all didn't see her other email describing the idle jumping... The one I posted was more info about the knocking mostly.

Who said it was a scam? If it is an older lady who isn't a mechanic and doesn't know a lot about cars, I'd be very surprised if she could find and properly clean the IAC, or change the coil pack (the last, yet one of the most important parts of the ignition system that wasn't changed). Beyond wanting to have someone come over and look at the car for her, what good is it going to do to keep e-mailing someone who can't do anything about it...out of curiosity? I understand trying to help, but according to her, there is nothing she can do about it because she isn't a mechanic and doesn't know how to work on cars. *shrugs*
