Default Best way to remove harmonica balancer...

Use a pulley puller. If you don't know how to use the puller you might end up putting it through the shaft inadvertently.

i don't know anything about neons, but do NOT NOT NOT pull on the outside ring of the balancer. only pull on the inside section (note the rubber ring that separates the two). a balance puller will bolt to the face. a 2 jaw puller can be used if there are slots on the inside. don't pull on the outside.

the second thing to NOT do, is don't mess up the threads on the inside of the crankshaft with the puller. put the crank bolt back in and let the pulley push against the bolt head, not your oh-so-precious crank threads. don't ask how i know this.

there is 3 slots on the inside, you have to get a puller to pull it out, advance auto parts will rent them out. Loosen the bolt on the balancer, and then hook up your puller, and tighten it.. then loosen the bolt some more, then tighten the puller some more till it pops off. just make sure you grease it when you put it back on, or it will be a b**** to get off the next time you have to pull it haha

btw, i tried using a 2 jaw puller once, it had so much pressure it bent and collapsed.
