Default Dome light won't work and fog lights won't turn OFF on '01 neon?!

I've heard this could be due to a faulty multi-functional switch. Does anybody know why this could be happening? I just don't want to have to pay VIP $85 an hour to tell me what the problem is..Just though I could get some opinions here. Thanks.

That'd be my guess.

what all is involved in replacing that switch? cause unless the end is pulled out my fog lights flicker every time I touch it.

AFAIK, it's just removing everything to get to it, unplugging it, and putting the new one in. There are some others on here who have changed them, so hopefully they can answer that better.

its east to change. Two screws on the surround and two on the switch unit then two plugs. Problem is I bet 99.9% that the larger plug is melted real bad.

Its an issue dodge should have put a recall on but didn't. I would find a switch at a junk yard and buy the replacement harness from dodge for $50.
