IIRC you can clear them by leaving the battery unhooked for a couple hours.
Start it up and wait for new codes to come up.

Heh I was about to tell you to check the acordion breather tube for the leak (day late i guess lol )
Had a split in mine and dealer wanted a lil too much money for a silly piece of rubber. when i went to wreckers for one i had to check Alot of cars as they all were showing signs of splitting or about to split soon. Noticed they were a problem.
best way to clear all your codes
disconnect both positive and negative clamps from battery and clamp them together for about 10 mins (this gets the ones out cheapo scanners and just disconnecting battery for 10mins wont clear)
the battery cables are next to impossible to clamp together on my neon so I just use a jumper cable from clamp to clamp.
the wires naturally want to sit back on top of the battery so I suggest placing something non conductive across the top posts so you dont get any suprise arcs when the clamps want to keep falling back on the battery for the 10 mins you have the clamp applied.

the p073 u refer to is it a typo? is it p0730?
I couldnt find p073 nowhere so im assuming its p0730
the p1299 is most likely from the intake tube leak that u fixed. unless there is another leak(doubt it)
if you "Brain Dead" the car like I posted earlier those codes should dissapear.
if the p0730? (if that is the code) comes back may be a faulty output speed sensor
Hows trans fluid look? Smell? burnt up? dirty? Low?

All the codes will clear unless enough power remains in the memory; i.e.- not disconnecting the battery long enough. If you are that worried, just turn the headlight switch on after you disconnect the positive cable for 10-15 minutes. The headlight switch being on will fully drain any remaining memory power. The ONLY time I haven't had all codes clear just by undoing the positive cable for about 5 minutes, is when I pull the fuel pump relay. That will not clear all codes.
