Angry Do i need a new motor??

I was driving down the road...all of a sudden everything power shut off in my car. when i stopped, there was a huge pile of coolant on the ground. after i put it on the lift and took the passenger tire off i can see that my timing belt is busted..but that doesnt explain the coolant. so its either one of two things...A) my water pan cracked and that caused my timing belt to break or B) my timing belt broke and my pistons hit my valves and my ****s broke. Someone please enlighten me and help!!

or your water pump broke! IDK what a water pan is??. in any case, figure you'll need to pull the head and replace bent valves.

If you were closer, I'd help you out

yeah, im hoping its my water pump*. if thats the case, it will be a rather cheap and easy fix. If its my motor im screwed. i dont see the point in putting another motor in a car thats not worth anything. but im not too sure what to do. i have a picture of it but it doesnt show really anything... :/

when the timing belt goes or water pump usually u change them at the same time. saves money on labour. how many miles / kilometers on the car? i think the magic number is anything over 120 000 kilometers and whatever the conversion in miles is. good luck

When the timing belt goes, you don't have a working engine anymore. Changing the water pump is going to be the least of your concerns.

theres 155,000 miles on the car. its def the water pump and the belt. the one guy in the car club said it was possible that my pistons didnt hit the valves. but its not likely. so now i get to drive a mazda protege...eh
