WELL....I guess that is a nail but the "it" that I was talking about was the reason that this damn car won't start. Good try though! I have an idea that i'm about to try. I didn't check the part of the cam shaft sensor that is attached to the cam inside the cyl. head.

We shall see...

Offer for dinner still stands, within reason!

Talking

Praise Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was it!!! The cam sensor sender, if that makes any sense, was the problem. While the 2004 head was a perfect match, the sensor was not. The computer didn't spit out any codes about it so i assumed it was seeing it fine, but thats not what was happening. Popped in the old sensor parts and it fired right up. Thank God!!!!

I also noticed that the old problem I had with the engine missing while under heavy load at low RPM is also fixed. I think that it might have been a tooth off on the timing or it was the old head. The larger harmonic balancer works great also with the larger belts and actually has a dampener built into the pulley, unlike the crappy old pulley.

Alls good in the hood!!!

Thanks for all the help!

Nathan

Interesting that they switched sensors. I will never understand why car mfrs do that stuff...

Good to hear you fixed it!
