Found out my buddy w/an SRT4 is running 215/45/17s. The 50s would be .9" taller... not sure if that'll break the camel's back or not.

Yup. The 45 series is what everyone runs. I'm sure there's got to be a reason for it...

Yeah. I'm wondering how much the offset will/will not help. I really don't know how tight it is in there. I'm going to try to peek in his while it's on the ground. I may even try my wheel/tire on his car and see what happens before I go making a purchase. If it rubs on his car I may have to start calling coilover companies to see if any know if that size will fit their product. I have a set of nearly new snow tires that are that size, so I don't really want to start over... plus it's nice having dedicated wheels too.
