Default Auto tranny on 2000 help

I rebuilt the transmission after the cooler went I all so put a new torque converter in too, The problem is I have no forward gears only reverse. I pulled it back out and see no visibly problems? I do notice that the motor and tranny seem to engage when I shift it into D,2,or 1. I did try running it with the tires off and the axles spin. Drivers side spins in reverse and passengers side in forward gears. When I put tires on and lower it on to the ground I get nothing. What am I missing here? I have had this thing on the bench 4 times in a week.

Any info would be great.

Thanks.

This happened to me when I pulled my transmission. The problem for me was the T/C snagged just enough to where it wasn't spinning freely. I had to take the transmission out again and I made sure it spun freely all the way up to where I could only get two of my fingers through the gap to double check. After that, it worked. Are you positive your T/C was spinning freely when you bolted everything back up?

I have to believe that T/C is turning see I have reverse. How can I test this?

You'd have to pull the transmission again. I ONLY had reverse too. I pulled the transmission and tried spinning the T/C, and it would not spin freely. I had to force it to spin. When I fixed it, I could spin it and it would go on it's own.
