Default Orange Spots on my paint

Hey everyone, new to the forum here but I have a question... I have a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT that I purchased in November of 2004. I went through the usual cleveland winter with it and after washing it recently, I discovered little orange dots all over my doors, bumper, fenders and roof. I took the car to my dealership and was told that it was from "metal" in the salt that the Ohio Department of Transportation was laying down on the roads. He told me 12 other cars had the same problem. I contact ODOT and was told they do not use metal in their salt and the salt comes directly from the mines, nothing is added. So has anyone run into this problem with their car? I would love to hear from anyone that may have purchased their car from Great Northern Dodge in North Olmsted, Ohio. I was told that this can be buffed out with a buffer and a clay bar. Am I getting the run around here? Thanks!

White 2005 Ram Quad...I noticed them too last week when I washed it, I will try to post some pics later. Mine are along the lower half of the drivers door

I just bought it in MAY so I dont think it was caused by snow salt...lol

Clay it, polish it, then wax it and you'll be good.
