Exclamation Mystery problem:/

Well, where to start. I have a 2000 dodge neon, and recently it started working like crap. Whenever you were hitting your brakes the car would shake much like if the brakes were sticking on. I checked the brakes and they are fine, they are not sticking on. The problem steadily got worse within the last week. Now it will shake and almost stall out, and it is happening all the time not just when hitting the brakes anymore. When it starts to shake if the car is put into neutral and revved, it will come out of it. I'm not sure where to begin looking for what could be wrong, has anyone else experienced the same or similar problem?

If a car shakes when braking, it is usually warped rotors. You cannot "check" for warped rotors beyond turning them and watching for uneven spots. Warped Rotors Explained
