i have a 2005 sohc and i want to run a turbo on it. i went to moderperformancepart and seen one. i have question on what i need to have done and i have questions on if i could change out my ecu for a 2.4 srt ecu. im going to change my cam profile, put in bigger valves and should i change my connecting rods? im going to put an ignition system on it will that be a plus or a negative. in the future im going to bore over .20 using low compression pistons.

 

I believe the Chill factory turbo kit made by mitsubishi comes witha complete intercooler, piping, turbo, ecu piggyback, turbo manifold, wastegate and bov, and some other things, the pistons are fine 9.5:1 compression but .20 over bore low compression pistons would be great, underdrive pulley will help, turbo timer, boost controller, fuel pressure regualator, and a big free flow exhaust would put you over the top. That be some ride.

 

Wouldnt that make it technically a 2.2 litres of displacement? and I dont think the SRT4 ECU would work at all. I think .40 would make the same as the SRT and if you stroke the motor as well.........Take it to a local machine shop to get that stuff done tho... they will follow the factory specs for the SRT if you want it designed similar.
