not trying to nag but a little more info could help.
which side of the motor does it sound like its coming from?
is it like a repeating thud or a constant mumble?
when you turn the car on and open the hood does it look
like any of the belts wobble or make uneven rotations?

It sound like its coming from inside the timing belt cover. Its def louder. When I was driving I heard a few bumps or something like that knocking too..but only every now and then..but I heard this sound before doing my timing. But I rev my engine and I hear something that is near the timing belt and it humms pretty loud until the engine is at a low rpm rate. but its not constant..only when I start accelerating and rev.ill post a vid tomorrow

the high rev sound just might be common, but i could be wrong.
i've noticed that my car makes a high winding sound when i run high RPMs
but so does our jetta and its more noticeable on the jetta.
video will definitely help, thanks.

Did you replace the accessory belt tensioner pulley?

I replaced the tenionser that goes with my timing belt, or is that the same tenionser for everything else? so yes that part is brand new. all new belts. they are nice and tight. it sounds like a whinning sound but goes away after im driving, Almost like a turbo noise but not nearly as loud.

I keep reading mixed ideas about this sound online, People say it's normal for a new timing belt to whine a little and others say its bad and it will break from being to tight.

No, that is the timing belt tensioner. I'm talking accessory belt tensioner- power steering belt, alternator belt. It is on the engine mount bracket and is about 2" or so in diameter and black. It's what you have to use to remove the belt by releasing the tension.

Red face

I don't believe that was changed. which isn't a huge deal cause I could do that myself. I just checked those belts and they are nice and tight which is weird. I made a video and will be posting in a few

thanks guys.

Did you slow the video or the audio down? It sounds really strange...
