I have a 2002 Dodge Neon sxt. I bought it flooded...I was told by the Previous owner it needed a new computer. Its runs and drives pretty good but has a few issues...It has a P1698 check engine code. It goes through all the gears fine. Down shifts kinda hard. It will not go in reverse right away if it sits 5-8 hrs. And it moves very slowly in drive. Takes about 2 minutes for it to kick in. I looked underneath and the wiring from computer to TCM and there were about 8 wires broke.. Fixed those and it shifted a lot better and the check engine light was erased but then it kicked on 2 hours later...Im out of ideas!! Tell me what you may think it is..

check the wires again, possibly one u missed? PCM and TCM arent talkin to eachother, possibly a long running bitter argument, or just the cold shoulder.
your gonna have to smooth things over or they may divorce(what about the kids?). gotta restrore harmony in th CM household
