HELP!!! 2004 Neon Issue...MFS
I just had a brand new MFS delivered and had it put in my 2004 Dodge Neon SXT due to the windshield wipers coming on when the headlights are turned on...as I said, I had a new one put in and it is still doing the same thing...any thoughts?
Hey Hemi,
Thanks for the reply. From what I am seeing, they are going neither fast nor slow...probably in the middle somewhere. No, I don't have daytime running lights...only night time...I am noticing that the wipers stop after a couple minutes once I turn the headlights on and then they work fine from the wiper controls. They should not come on at all when I turn on my headlights. I purchased a brand new combo switch from Autozone that contained the lamp controls as well as a large molding that more than likely houses the MFS...I hope I don't have to replace the stalk that controls the wipers as well because that one seems to work fine controlling the wipers. It took them about 5 days to get it delivered. I then picked it up and had a mechanic friend of mine install the new one. I was shocked to see it happening again. I'm not sure if he checked the wires down the column, but he says he definitely did and he seen no issues, but since I didn't see him do it, I'll never know. I wish I could be more mechanically inclined to do this stuff myself, but I know nothing about the wiring in an automobile. Thanks again...
