Default Help! Heater Core

Hello all, I have a 2002 Dodge Neon, and the heater core is apparently clogged up. Now unlike my F250 the lines going to the firewall are aluminum tubing going into what i believe is the AC expansion valve. I'm curious as to how I backflush the damn thing, it looks like the tubing is perm attached to the block. Also does anyone here have any experience replacing these cores, every shop i've talked to has quoted me about 8 hours of labor. I want to do it myself but it seems like I'd have to remove most all the plastic on the dash to even get to it. Thanks any help is appreciated.

p.s. Its pretty darn cold here in PA right now

shop book has it down for 6.2hrs.

sometimes you can weasel them out without removing the dash like the book tells you to. 3 weeks ago i did just that on a sunfire

the hoses to the core must be flexible as to take account engine movement, so im thinking your looking at the wrong lines as u can see in this image the H block is #5 and is independant of the heater lines
