ok hears the deal have a 2000 dodge neon. when i got it it would go 25mph at 4000 rpms and stall out when at a stop sign are a red light. i replaced the filter and fluid and gasket used lucas. after that it ran and shifted fine but occasionally stalled out still at red lights and stop signs. so i pulled the pan back off pulled the valve body out cleaned the valve body and the filter in the middle of the valve body. used new oil. now 1st gear shift at 2500-3000 rpms second shift at 2500-3000 rpms only if you leave off the gas and get back on the gas and if you hammer on the peddle its like it shifts the car to neutral and the engine just revs. and if you don't leave up on the peddle for it to **** it will run up to 6 7 thousand rpms and wont shift less you leave off the peddle. also if you leave up on the peddle and give it 1/4 peddle again it shift back down and throws the rpms threw the roof hemi 4spd was helping thanks hemi and thanks in advance for any help

 

did you tighten the valve body in the correct sequence and to correct torque? could possibly be leaking?

did you dissasemble the governor and inspect for damge or wear?
