taking out rear bench seat???
question for you guys...i bought my neon brand spankin' new...in 02....its an 02 ES model...so....6 months after i bought it...i took it to an audioshop...and they installed a basic...sub and amp setup...never really noticed till now...but i dont have any seat belt locking things in my rear seat...and i dont know how to get them out...or take the seat out to get to them...ive never really had a second passenger in the car...but i got a baby due in 5 days or less...and im gonna need that for a car seat....so HOPEFULLY someone can help me...thanks in advance!!
Just grab the bottom of the cushion and pull up. Its just held on by friction and two metal loop things. Great description I know...but you'll understand when you do it. You don't need any tools whatsoever to pull the bottom part of the seat up either.
thanks guys...baby is due today...but no sign of coming...guess she'll be induced on wednesday...lol...but yeah...i just pulled the seats right up...thanks alot...im probly gonna be doing some mods...so dont be suprised if i ask some stupid questions...as im not mechanically inclined...at all =oD but you know...we all gotta start somewhere right...!? first its the rear seat...then the euro tails...then who knows...lol...but enough rambling...thanks again!!
Hopefully the baby comes soon. That's why I'm glad my friend has his own audio shop. Before I knew him I took it somewhere else and got ripped off and they did a crappy job on a deck.
I know this sounds dumb, but I took out my rear seats to make sure the wires for my subs were still connected and okay, and now my seats won't lock back in. I just placed them back in place, but now they keep sliding out when i ever people sit in the back or if I just lightly tug on them. Does anyone know any certain way to put it back in so that it locks without coming out?

I have never gotten mine to latch back down. Nobody sits in the back of mine so it's not a problem for me. Make sure the black plastic piece is still in the holes and like darth said you gotta push the seat down pretty hard. And congrats on the baby!
