Autozone can actually check your coil for free you just take it out of your engine and take it there and they will check and see how good it is or not.

I don't really want to dive into my engine. I'm scared, no prior experience, if I **** something up, I'm completely screwed.

I don't know that it'd cause a misfire, but I'd be very happy it didn't hydrolock the engine.

The ignition coil (there's only one) sits on top of the valve cover and is held down by four screws/bolts. Then again, if you don't know where/what the coil is, perhaps a shop is the best bet...

I'm glad I didn't hydrolock it too! And if its an easy fix I could probably figure it out in the manual.

If you are just wanting to replace the coil, you undo the connector, undo the 4 bolts, remove and replace. Done.

If you don't know what you're doing take it to a shop, seriously.

She went to the shop, everything fixed. My alternature is putting 86 amps. So my alternator is good. My problem is still there, so is it going to be down to the ground then?

My stereo shuts off randomly, but I'm chalking it up to a bad radio. None of my lights dim. Once I did an engine ground upgrade, I've not once seen my lights dim again. I'm still guessing a corroded/loose ground somewhere.

Will what ground? There are like 5 or 6 total engine grounds.
