02 neon limp mode, need help

i didnt see the solenoid plug. all i see on the tranny are the input, output speed sensors and this other connector with like 8 wires goin into it. thats under input speed sensor

It's right on the front of the transaxle. It's a bigger, rectangular plug; with a bolt in the middle IIRC. Should have about 8 wires or so going into it.

ok there is a rectangular plug on top of trany with like 8 wires on it. I took plug off but didnt know how to take sensor off without breaking it lol

That's not a sensor; it's the solenoid pack. It's one big unit.

im pretty sure i have the 3 speed auto tranny. so is there a solenoid pack on the top the tranny.

What i though might of been the pack that u told me to check i dont think thats it. It doesnt have the bolt on it.

2002-up came with a 4 speed. I'm replacing my solenoid pack today; I'll take some pictures for you.

your picture is wrong. VSS is not what you have listed. The VSS (actually known as the output speed sensor is about 8" to the right in your picture. What you labeled as VSS is actually the Input Speed Sensor.

ok now what u have labeled as solenoid pack, to me thats the Transmission shift solenoid, correct. I replaced that already with a brand new one as soon as i started workin on the car.

I also replaced both input and output speed sensors, this model doesnt have a VSS, does it?
