Gas Mileage ....
Like I said when I posted a thread earlier about finding Florida Neons, I was leaving the state for a little bit. Well I left the state and I'm driving to Maryland (Waldorf) to deal with some business and as always when I'm travelling I log everything to make my checks and make sure everything is working great. I like to determine the average fuel mileage at every fill up.
When I started off I was driving casual and going with the flow
. Mainly 65-80mph ... the 1st stop the average was 40.25 mpg's
2nd stop I was driving aggresively to see what the difference would be, 75-85mph .. the average came up 34mpg's ..
I guess you could say I had to tell someone. I am amazed by the mileage I'm getting. All hail the Neon
Woooooo Hooooooo

My fuel guage is reading a little funny ... From what I understand the Neon should have a 12.5 gallon tank. When I hit a 1/4 tank I pulled an exit and hit a gas station and I only took 6.8 gallons ... With it reading funny I'm a bit nervous to let it get past the 1/4 mark.
Normally in the city driving I get about 30 mpg's ... Now driving with a combination of city & Hwy with careful driving (gradual exceleration and stopping) I can pull an average of 35mpg's ...

With my 2000 neon, I get about 26 city miles, doing delivery service. I'm not sure what I get on the highway yet.
Bear in mind, that is with a horrible alignment that will be getting fixed soon, so the city MPG should go up by 1 or 2 after I get it aligned. Right?
