Default AEM Vs. K&N

I was looking into air intakes and i'm down to two. AEM makes an intake made especiaally for my r/t but the K&N typhoon is said to give me 5.7 horsepower. Will i get more from the AEM or k&n. Also does anyone have either of them and have comments on them; good or bad?

In my op an intake is an intake the ebays are just like the k&ns and aems your just paying for the price . But if your want to get one of those I would go with a typhoon .

K&N is overpriced. Don't expect 5+ HP from any CAI though...

It may say 5.7 hp but in really an intake alone maybe 2hp with other mods maybe the 5.7 but only with other engine mods not alone. Aem is overpriced also just look into the ebay intakes in my op the same as all the name brands but cheaper in price. You would need to get an k&n filter though the filters are crap that come with the ebay intakes.

This is what a lot of people do. Not a bad idea for saving money.

Yes i did the ebay intake right after I bought my sxt new back in 04 and just been recharging my k&n awesome filter but in late spring seeing I have a stage3 turbo to put in my sxt going to be using the huge injen intake that came with it with all kinds of goodie mods. But it saved me a ton of money getting the ebay intake for 25bucks and k&n filter for 35bucks .
