Exclamation 2004 Dodge Neon Sxt Flooding out Help.

Hello,
I recently installed a longtube header on my car and now it is or if feels like it is flooding out. The car will not go, especially after I just turned it on. When I installed the header I swapped the 02 Sensors meaning that the one at the cat went to the exhaust maniforld and the exhaust manifold was placed where the catalytic converter would be. The reason I did this was because the orginial set up was to short at the catalytic converter and the wire would not connect. The check engine light is on and the autozone employee said that I was getting a low voltage to the tranny code and that my 02 sensors were bad. Could the swap of the 02 Sensors be the problem ? Or should I purchase new 02 sensors ? Please help !!

umm upstream and downstream O2 sensord have different part numbers. Therefore I would think they are niot interchangeable.

just lengthen the wires with some extensions and put the correct sensors in the correct locations clear the codes, and see what remains

O2 sensors are quite important in how the car runs. Fix 'em.

i agree with darth.. if the O2 sensors are not reading right they can make you run too lean or too rich

Thanks to everyone who helped out. I bought new 02 sensors and replaced the new upstream sensor in its appropriate place and the car works great. I am waiting for the down stream sensor I ordered from Orielly's. I hope it has the extenison so that I can connect it. Once again Showsxt, Hemi4sp, Darthroush and buddhaman thank you. I really appreciated your help.

I have Grenatelli wires, Custom CAI, Magnaflow exhaust and kirk long tube racing headers. I would like to add a MPX under pully, MPX 60 mm throttle body and Indy intake. Oh yeah and power program it either mega squirt or diablo sport. I was looking at your ride and it looks nice. what do you have on it so far ?
