Default Need some info on body kits

I have a plain jane 2000 neon and im looking for a body kit for it. What im really looking for is one that doesnt really drop the apperance of the car very much because i live in minnesota. The land of rampant potholes and heavy snowfall. Ive seen all the kits out there however none of the really give you an idea of how much of a drop they have over stock.

I'm going with the factory SRT-design front bumper with the R/T rear bumper cover ...

Any body kit for these is going to turn it into a snow plow. You may be able to get away with a lip kit.

Yes everykit even the lip kits are pretty low my 04 with the mopar lip kit and a little lowered bottoms out going out of my driveway and other places. But for your yr neon I love the xenon kits out there . I had one on my 99r/t and loved it. Oh yeah I live a state away from you in iowa and we get lots of snow and potholes also.

Yeah i know most body kits just turn the car into a snow plow. I havent seen a whole lot of lip kits out there do you know where i could find them. I have thought about the xenon kit just dont know if its my style yet.

I only know of the mopar lip kit thats on my 04 sxt I think you might be able to mess around with it and fit it on your 00 I have seen some 00-02s with the lip kit on . You can try your dealer and see if they have any in stock or can order you one. Check out my garage to see if you like the mopar lip kit or not. Its pretty mild lookin and not to overboard like some are.

Just don't get a body kit? And stance your car, lower it, and get some nice wheels for it.

Bodykits are pretty pricey unless you go with the lip kit and lowering his neon is not such a good idea seeing he doesnt want to bottom out but getting some nice wheels would be nice idea and in 16s nice size and not upgrading too much size wise. You can just lower it a tad if you wanted to I guess.

Well I went with a bodykit that is not expensive or wild lookin just a kit that makes mine different from the rest of the neons around my state. Yeah my sxt bottoms out from time to time but if you handle with extreme care and go slow over potholes or go at an angle out of your driveway than youll be ok. If you actually find a kit you really like than I would go with it .
