i hope these pics clear everything up. Im sorry for all the confusuin with what type of tranny it is and all. Like i said my buddy just gave me this car, so im fixing it so it can be my beater

 

you have an overdrive trans. There is no code listed P0743 for this application. Something is funny about the code you are chasing since it doesn't exsist for your car.

 

i dont know what to tell u then, this is the code that displayed when i did the key dance..maybe it was a stored code on the pcm and when i hooked it up to my car it, showed.

 

Is the PCM right? did it get changed? Maybe you need a real scanner so you can see what the PCM ID is? The code you keep asking about doesn't exsist in 2002 for the Neon. So you're chasing your tail. Oh and you shouldn't put your license plate on the computer. That makes it easy for undesirable people to find you.

 

haha thanks but im from jersey and the car is registered in Georgia to someone not me, so if they find me then i guess they did alot of running around to find me and then they deserve to do undesirable things to me lol

I bought a PCM off ebay from a 2000 neon. I was told that 2000-2002 are the same. Tomorrow i will hook up the original PCM and see if the code is present.

I had a real scanner scan the car. The same codes i got from the key dance are the only ones that showed up. I'm seriously just thinking about getting a new trans and starting from there.

 

Whatever. I was trying to help and protect you. BTW who ever told you that 2000-2002 is the same is a freaking dumb a@@
