I was driving to a stop sign and pressed in the clutch and felt a snap.

The car would start and first gear worked however the clutch would not engage.

First gear did drive me to a parking lot however.

I took out the clutch cable thinking it would be that however the cable was intact.

I compared the clutch cable to a new one and they are relatively the same size and I do not think it is stretched. I hope I am wrong however.

What else could be my problem the the clutch is still engaged with first gear?
