Default noise from intake??

i have a 2005 sxt auto and about 4 days ago i have had a really loud roaring coming from my intake and my vaccum has been pushing between 18-20 when normally should be around 12 at idle. The roaring gets really bad when i put it in reverse but i give it a little gas and it will stop. Could it be the throttle body flange sticking or just the cai pipes just roaring because of their the steel? Or should i take it to the shop to find out what the heck is going on?

yea thats what i thought but my stepdad was telling me it was just the amount of air coming in cause i also removed the section between the tb and the manifold and put a piece of straight pipe to stop some of the vibration could that cause it? and i mean we had a ton of rain last week and it started after the rain but i dont think water got in bc its running just as good.... just the noise i think the vac pressure is what scares me more than anything

I'd be concerned getting only 12in./Hg. at idle as well (unless for some reason, Neons really are just that low). It should be above 15. 18 is a great number. Is the needle steady on the vacuum gauge at idle?

yea its steady it doesnt bounce at all so that is a good vac hg? i mean it sits between 18-20 and it was only 12-14 b4. I think thats what had me concerned on top of the noise

Generally, a steady needle, but low reading can be a small vacuum leak. You say you replaced the bellows tube (that accordion looking piece between the TB and manifold); that can become cracked which would cause a vacuum leak. Replacing that piece may also make it a bit louder; I'm not positive though.

Is the car still making the noise you are talking about?
